These poets composed and sang sweet devotional verses describing the divine pastimes (leelas) of Shrinathji and Shri Krishna in Braj and Gokul.Their compositions are not mere poetry, but are filled with exclusive love and devotion toward Thakurji, bringing the presence of Rasraj Shri Krishna alive during seva. From the deep devotion of Surdasji to the simplicity of Kumbhandasji, each poet enriched Thakurji’s seva with their unique bhav (emotion).Even today, their kirtans are sung in daily seva, making the divinity and sweetness of Braj come alive in temples and hearts of devotees.
